These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and KIYHTILY LLC ("kiyhtily", "we", "us", "our"), and govern your use of the kiyhtily mobile application, the website kiyhtily.com, the kiyhtily web application, and related services (together, the "Service").
You must be at least 18 years old to use kiyhtily, and kiyhtily is available only in the United States. By creating an account you confirm you meet these requirements and agree to these Terms.
kiyhtily is a personal finance app that helps you budget, track expenses, scan receipts, connect your bank, credit card, loan and investment accounts, set goals, model long-term financial scenarios, and receive AI-assisted insights.
kiyhtily is NOT a bank, a registered investment adviser, a broker-dealer, a tax preparation service, a fiduciary, or a substitute for professional advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.
Projections of future outcomes are illustrations based on assumptions you and we supply. They depend on returns, inflation, tax law and your own future behaviour, any of which may differ. Consult a qualified professional before acting on them.
Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, tell us about unauthorised access, and do not share or transfer your account.
Paid subscriptions are sold and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play at the price shown to you at the time of purchase. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, and you cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. We will tell you in advance of any price change. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their policies.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple or Google. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings first.
Do not use the Service unlawfully, upload documents that are not yours, connect an account you are not authorised to access, reverse engineer the Service, scrape it, disrupt it, bypass its limits, or resell access to it.
You own the data you enter. You grant us a limited licence to use it to provide and improve the Service, generate insights, and support you. We do not sell your personal financial data.
We use Anthropic's Claude API to read the receipts and statements you photograph, to compose the wording of insights and notifications, and to power the AI coach. AI output may be inaccurate. Verify extracted amounts before relying on them.
The AI coach is an automated assistant, not a person. It explains your figures and the app's calculations. It does not recommend investments, tax positions or legal actions, and it can be wrong. Check important figures against your statements and consult a professional before acting. You can report a problematic response in the app.
The Service and its content are owned by KIYHTILY LLC. Do not copy, modify or distribute it, use the kiyhtily name or logo without permission, or remove copyright notices.
We rely on third parties for account connection, document processing, storage, notification delivery, subscriptions and hosting. Each provider is named in our Privacy Policy and at kiyhtily.com. Their terms also govern your use, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions.
Account connections are made through Plaid Inc. ("Plaid"). By connecting an account, you authorise kiyhtily and Plaid to access and transmit information from your financial institution on your behalf, you agree to the Plaid End User Privacy Policy (plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy), and you confirm you are authorised to access that account. Account information comes from your institution through Plaid and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate; we are not responsible for errors in it, and we may stop supporting an institution or a connection at any time.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that AI-extracted data will be accurate, or that any projection will be achieved. We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KIYHTILY LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages; for lost profits, lost data (including data removed by a deletion you request) or business interruption; for losses arising from reliance on AI-generated insights or projections; for errors in parsing or categorisation; or for the failure of third-party services. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY for any claim will not exceed the greater of what you paid us in the preceding 12 months or $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold KIYHTILY LLC harmless from claims, damages and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your violation of third-party rights, or the data you submit.
You can delete your account at any time, yourself, in the app or at kiyhtily.com. Deletion is carried out entirely by you: it is immediate, permanent and cannot be undone, and we cannot restore anything once it is deleted. Before you delete, export anything you want to keep; the app lets you download your transactions. You alone decide whether to delete and are responsible for keeping your own copies; to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data or other consequence of a deletion you carry out.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if your account is dormant, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue the Service.
We may update these Terms. When we do, you will be asked to accept the updated version before continuing to use the Service.
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them, including in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to Section 18, any dispute not subject to arbitration will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
Before filing a claim, contact support@kiyhtily.com and we will work in good faith to resolve it. Unresolved disputes are settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis, not as a class action, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court.
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
If you obtained the app through the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and KIYHTILY LLC only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and no warranty obligation beyond refunding the purchase price. Apple is not responsible for any claim relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory conformity or consumer protection claims, nor for third-party intellectual property claims. You confirm you are not located in an embargoed country or on a prohibited-parties list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
